Chimehooa?
What is it? Something I hope to use soon. We got a dirt-cheap chiminea recently at a Nursery. It's a clay oven used for outdoor fires. Most have a pipe attachment on top to funnel the smoke a bit, but ours came without (which is why it was so cheap). Anyhoo, need to find a grate of some sort to sit in the bottom. Hope to find that soon.

AP Top 25
Here's the first AP Top 25 of the season. Lots of teams on Carolina's schedule here: Auburn (#4), Florida (#7), Georgia (#15), Clemson (#18), and Tennessee (#23). Carolina gets a little love w/ 15 votes.
As others have noted, my take on the preseason rankings is that, well... there shouldn't be any preseason rankings. It is much more difficult for teams who aren't ranked heading intot he season to climb up in the Top 25 than it is for those who are highly ranked coming in to fall down in the rankings. Letting everybody play 3-4 games before coming out with the first poll seems a lot more equitable, IMHO. Then again, just win all of your games & you don't have to worry about any of that. ;-)
Anyways, plenty of stuff to chew on here as we wait for August 31.

Colorado Beerology 101: Odell Brewing Co.
Located between New Belgium Brewery and Fort Collins Brewery is Odell Brewing Company, locally-owned & operated for... well, for a while. Their main line of beers is shown below. My fav is the 5 Barrel Pale Ale. Just a well-balanced, tasty ale. 90 Shilling is also a local favorite, a darker ale with lots of flavor, but not too heavy. Odell is probably just as popular locally as NBB and FCB.
Summit County Weekend
Spent this past weekend in the Summit County area. While Stacy rode in a bike tour (the Copper Triangle), I took advantage of being in the area by playing Breckenridge Golf Course. A very challenging course in an awesome setting with elevation above 9000 feet. Can't say I burned up the course, but it was hard not to enjoy it. ;-)
